Use your profile photo to project who YOU are (or a polished version of your future self) and that will attract people “just like you”.
2) Build trust by:
Showing your face - people trust people first. Not robotic, faceless business owners. This is why you see more about “personal” branding these days. And less about “business” branding.
Smiling - A smile is scientifically proven to build trust. And it’s free. Give them away!
Having clear imagery - Blurry images make you look unprofessional and sloppy. Make sure you've got a clear HD headshot so people can connect with you, the human behind the profile.

Your cover photo should follow the same principles as your profile photo.

And last but certainly not least.
Your experience.
If someone has scrolled this far… they’re interested.
You’ve got their attention.
Use the experience section to turn attention into interest & desire.
Outline, in 1-2 sentences, experiences that apply to the type of people who you want to connect with.
Let the reader know:
Who you’ve worked for
How much experience you have
How long you’ve been in the industry
It should look like this:

Also, you can use long form content to entice prospects even further down the profile funnel.
Here are 3 kinds of long-form content that converts:
Blog Posts - Share an “ultimate guide” related to your service/product. Include multiple examples of social proof to prove you're the expert.
Case studies - Share a problem solution case study with a previous client who perfectly fits your ICP (ideal client profile), so that you can attract more of them.
Press features - These provide external validation of success in a way that video testimonials can't. Make use of the media's influence on how people think.
